Slavkov Castle Kromeriz and Olomouc

Drive to the baroque Slavkov Castle. The battle of Austerlitz actually took place some kilometers to the west from here. The castle has 115 rooms and an impressive garden in the French style. Walk in the park with beautiful baroque sculptures (13th c). Tour of the castle Slavkov: the Ancestors’ Hall, the Historic Room, the altar with monumental sculptures of angels (1774).

Drive to Kromeriz (Kroměříž). Gardens and Castle at Kromeriz (18th c.), a UNESCO Heritage site since 1998. Visit the town square of Kroměříž with cathedral of St. Maurice and sepulcher of bishop Bruno of Schaumburg (1241 - 1281) who founded the town and the famous wine cellars. Archbishop's castle with the art collection of European masters of 15-18th centuries.

Leaving for Olomouc. Bus tour of the city. The Archbishop’s palace where Franz Joseph acceded to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Hapsburg Empire in 1848. The Premyslid palace (12th c).
